Wendi Brinson Born and raised in Palm Desert, Wendi returned to the Coachella Valley in 2005 after studying Management Information Systems and Marketing in Tucson, Arizona & Los Angeles, California. With great appreciation for the desert cities, Wendi chose to pursue a career in real estate and obtained her license in 2006. She began selling residential re-sales on-site at The Lakes Country Club sales office in addition to working for a top producer, gaining vital market knowledge, advertising & negotiation skills. Now as a team member with Dave Kibbey & Associates, Wendi is focused on all aspects of Team Kibbey office management, escrow coordination, marketing & advertising while also working as a buyer’s agent for Dave. Married to her husband from Virginia who is an engineer in the natural gas industry, Wendi enjoys spending her extra time with her family, children Baron & Preslyn, hiking our amazing trails, watching sporting events and enjoying occasional golf with family, clients & friends!
Kurt Penn is a knowledgeable, seasoned professional with expertise in local, national and international markets. A licensed Real Estate Broker in California, Illinois and Wisconsin, Kurt has extensive experience in many areas of real estate including construction, property renovation and development of both residential and commercial properties. Actively engaged in real estate brokerage for over 25 years, Kurt has been affiliated with the Sotheby’s International Realty brand since its inception in Chicago in 2005. As a result, his expertise and knowledge of the Sotheby’s brand and available resources, as well as his international perspective, enable him to expose a property to the widest audience possible. Kurt has also been instrumental in establishing the Sotheby’s International Realty brand in the State of Wisconsin. He has developed a proprietary method for marketing and selling luxury vacation/second home and unique properties throughout the state. He continues to service both the Chicago metropolitan area and Wisconsin by virtue of his affiliation with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty in Chicago. An attorney admitted to the bar in Illinois, Florida and Virginia, Kurt has dealt with hundreds of legal and real estate clients over the years. His ability to communicate honestly and intelligently with his clients, combined with his solid legal background and real estate expertise, has enabled him to understand and identify each client’s specific needs. Using old fashioned determination, Kurt is tenacious in the representation of his clients, enjoys their loyalty and respect and brings the highest level of service to each transaction. Having visited the desert on a regular basis since the ’70s, Kurt currently resides in Rancho Mirage. He’s pleased to be able to bring the same level of enthusiasm, ethics, expertise and knowledge to his clients in the desert communities. He is also a docent at the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Springs as well its Architectural and Design Center Facility.
Alan Berry is a Southern California native, born and raised in Orange County but calling Palm Springs his home for the last 25 years. He lives with his wife, Marsha, of 37 years and has two children and two grandchildren. Before real estate, Alan entertained around the country playing music before settling into theatre, where you can still see him in local shows now and then.
Alan obtained his real estate license in 1999 and has been serving buyers and sellers across the Coachella Valley for 18 years. What drives Alan, is his passion for finding the right property for his buyers and getting the best possible price for his sellers. From the start of the transaction to the close of the deal and beyond, Alan oversees all aspects to make sure it is a smooth transaction for all parties concerned. He listens carefully to his buyers and sellers needs and provides the best possible advice and information so they may make the best decisions possible.
After working in the industry with a couple other brokerages, Alan wanted to take his experience and knowledge to the next level. His choice to join forces with Dave Kibbey & Associates – Sotheby’s was an easy one. Dave and Alan have been friends for years and Alan truly respects Dave’s knowledge of the business approach to dealing with clients. Alan is very fortunate to have joined a team of highly respected team of Sotheby’s Realtors and looks forward to serving his clients in the valley and beyond in this next chapter of his career.
Jack Menzia After 30 years as a school administrator, Jack moved to the desert in 2006 and began his successful career in real estate. Jack has carried over to his real estate business the excellent communication skills that enabled him to excel as a school administrator, a skill which allows him to effectively communicate with clients. As a means of improving his business, Jack has become a member of Dave Kibbey and Associates, a dynamic, top producing team which is highly regarded within the real estate industry. Jack’s collaborative abilities will fit nicely within the association and will result in increased services to both buyers and sellers. Rich Tomlin Relocated to Palm Springs from the San Francisco Bay Area in September of 1999 with his family. Our decision has proven to be the best move possible. The desert has been an excellent place to work and live. We are very proud to call the Palm Springs area home.
In 2006 I retired from the City of Palm Springs Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic. I also served 11 years in the military reserves to include enlistments in both the California Army National Guard and California Air National Guard.
My prior work experience has allowed me to proudly serve my community and country. I took great pride in helping others in their greatest time of need. My passion to serve now pays forward to my clients who receive excellent customer service and are treated with the honesty, integrity, and the respect they deserve.
Nyla Patzner is a Palm Springs native whose family has called the Coachella Valley home for five generations, and she’s watched the area grow into one of the world’s top destinations. After attending college at Chapman University and gaining professional experience in San Francisco, her passion for the desert led her back and today, she offers unmatched knowledge of the area’s amenities with specialization in luxury properties, golf communities, investment and income producing properties. Patzner honed her marketing, public relations, and business development skills in the highly competitive tourism and luxury travel markets. She also gained invaluable experience in commercial property construction and management and uses this knowledge to guide clients looking to purchase, sell or develop investment properties. She’s also traveled extensively and understands the nuances of capturing distinguished international buyers through the HôM Sotheby’s network. Giving back to the community is an essential part of Patzner’s life and she’s very active in several charitable organizations, including serving on the board of the Women Leaders Forum, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the young professional committee at Sunnylands and co-chair and supporter of Animal Samaritans. She’s also a member of the Leadership Coachella Valley Class of 2014, and of the California Department of Realtors. Previously, she also served on the City of Palm Desert Marketing Committee and the board of the Desert Advertising Federation.
